The future of agriculture depends on capable, visionary leaders. Northwest Farm Credit Services understands the power of education and leadership training and supports professional development programs including:
Education & Research
Montana State University
Northwest FCS partnered with CoBank to endow the "Northwest FCS and CoBank Fellowship." The combined gift funds an annual fellowship for a graduate student. The fellow will study and conduct research in beef cattle production in the Animal and Range Sciences department with the College of Agriculture at MSU.
Miles Community College
With a significant donation from Northwest FCS, Miles Community College is making strides toward building its Agriculture Advancement Center to support the growth of agriculture, eastern Montana's primary industry. The Center will have an indoor arena, three classrooms and seating for more than 500 people.
Oregon State University, Forest Science Complex
With Northwest FCS and CoBank support, the Forest Science Complex will include a state-of-the-art, advanced wood-product laboratory where faculty and students will develop sustainable new building products that can be manufactured in the Northwest.
